SESSION-10

“LEARN SPOKEN ENGLISH FROM HOME”. – By MaddaliSwetha

SYNONYMS:
A language as rich and widely used as English has numerous words which are extremely close to each other in meaning. Such words with almost the same or similar meaning are called synonyms. For person who wants to gain mastery over a language the knowledge of synonyms is extremely useful. Since certain words suit certain contexts, it is essential to have the ability to use a simpler or more complex synonym depending on what the situation demands.

For instance, speaking with a friend about technology one uses simple words while synonyms of these words may be required in a more formal context such as writing an essay, in an examination, on the change in technology situation at present.
