“WORD OF MOUTH IN MARKETING”.
– By MaddaliSwetha

DEFINITION - Word-of-Mouth Marketing (WOMM) is the technique of promoting a product, service or business by soliciting positive comments from satisfied customers. Word of mouth marketing is an interactive process such that customers are collaborating with the business, product or service for which they have derived enough satisfaction that they are willing to speak out about it and even recommend it to others

In short, the word of mouth is mention/specified as Spoken communication. So, I would always recommend focusing first and foremost on the customer experience, rather than the ways in which that experience might be shared.

Some of the uses of word of mouth are is as follows:

1. Keep your key messages short and easily shareable.
2. You need to proactively position yourself as part of a wider dialogue.
3. Be real, directly approach people and be honest with them.
4. Identify the right people to spread your message.
5. Record and evaluate the results
6. Share the feedback.

It is a great way to maximize your WOMM. Instead of sharing one at a time (social networking, TV ads, newspapers, etc).Better you can reach so many more people by WOMM.

Hence, the final tip is to track your success with word of mouth marketing. There are several programs that will keep track of how many people are talking about your brand, as well as how many visitors your website has had. Of course, you also need to track your sales to determine if the increase in word of mouth marketing has helped your bottom line. If not, at least you know it is time to change tactics, which may include finding more influential people to talk about your network marketing business, and getting more involved in customer communication. If you want to simply save your time and money while still getting new customers, you should try word of mouth marketing. This tactic relies on the fact that most people are passionate about things they really enjoy, and they want to share that feeling with others.
