THE INVENTOR OF ZERO - By MaddaliSwetha


Zero was invented in India by Indian mathematicians. Aryabhatta was the first mathematician to use the concept of zero. Zero is widely used in calculations, astronomy and astrology.

I have a very small interesting facts and I would like to share it to you:

1. Zero is neither positive nor negative.

2. Zero”s helps us to solve the math’s i.e, very proud that Indian mathematics is discovered zero.

3. The serial numbers look like 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 or 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 0.

4. About zero, it stands for whole but actually it becomes nothing. Also when we multiply it to any other number that becomes also zero that is its logic, but it is very powerful than any other number.

For instance:

MATHS: LAKH, CRORE, MILLION, BILLION

Remember this simple table below for inter conversion of lakh, crore, million and billion.

1 LAKH, 1 CRORE

1 lakh = 5 zeros
1 crore = 7 zeros

1 MILLION, 1 BILLION

1 million = 6 zeros
1 billion = 9 zeros

So, we can conclude:
1 crore = 100 lakh
1 billion = 1000 million

1 million = 10 lakh
1 billion = 100 crore

Hence,

Today, mathematics is used throughout the world in many fields, including natural science, engineering, medicine, and the social sciences, commerce such as economics.  Applied mathematics, the application of mathematics to such fields, inspires and makes use of new mathematical discoveries and sometimes leads to the development of entirely new disciplines. But, Mathematics is both an art and a science.

Mathematicians also engage in pure mathematics, i.e, and pure mathematics lies at its heart. Pure mathematics explores the boundary of mathematics and pure reason. It has been described as that part of mathematical activity that is done without explicit or immediate consideration of direct application.
