INTRODUCTION:

Milk definition: A white liquid produced by the mammary glands of female mammals for feeding their young beginning immediately after birth. Milk is an emulsion of proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals, and sugars, especially lactose, in water. The proteins in milk contain all the essential amino acids.

TYPES OF MILK:

1. Whole Milk.

2. Lower Fat Milk.

3. Partly Skimmed Milk.

4. Skim Milk.

Vitamin D is essential for strong bones, because it helps the body use calcium from the diet. Vitamin D is produced by the body in response to skin being exposed to sunlight. It is also occurs naturally in a few foods -- including some fish, fish liver oils, and egg yolks -- and in fortified dairy and grain products.

Symptoms of bone pain and muscle weakness can mean you have a vitamin D deficiency. However, for many people, the symptoms are subtle. Yet, even without symptoms, too little vitamin D can pose health risks. Low blood levels of the vitamin have been associated with the following: Increased risk of death from cardiovascular disease, Cognitive impairment in older adults, severe asthma in children, and Cancer.

1. It builds healthy bones and strong teeth to children to old age groups.

2. It helps you lose weight and protect from sunlight lead you good skin.

3. Milk is the good prevention for kidneys problems.

4. The Milk keeps vitamin deficiency away.

5. Vitamin D plays a role in brain development and function.

6. When the sun shines on your bare skin,your body makes its own vitamin D.  5-10 minutes on a sunny day for everyday.

7. Orange juice, cereal, bread, and some yogurt brands also commonly have added vitamin D.

8. Adding egg yolk, beef and cheese is also good for food supplement for vitamin D.

9. How much you need Vitamin D (minimum food supplement)?

*400IU to 500IU (for children)

*600IU (under 50 – 70 years old age)

*800IU (above 71+ year’s old age)

*Mother breast feeding is good suggested until 1 year baby or babies.

A SMALL OVERALL OUTLOOK REGARDING WHAT MILK CONTAINS:

Protein, Vitamin A, Vitamin B12, Vitamin B6, Riboflavin, Vitamin D, Calcium, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium, And Zinc.

HOW MUCH MILK SHOULD YOU DRINK?

It is generally recommended that two servings of milk (250ml per glass) be consumed. This will help to meet our daily calcium intake. Milk is also high in protein and growing children and drinks more milk, and in this case low-fat milk will be preferable.

*2 glasses of milk

*3 cups a day

*Two cups actually if you are a kid. If you are a adult then 2 half or more. If you are a baby then a bottle which is 1 half pint or a quart.

*Depending on male or female: female should have 500ml of milk per day male should have 250 ml (minimum).
