DEATH OF A GREAT PERSONALITY - STEPHEN WILLIAM HAWKING

My goal is simple. It is a complete understanding of the universe, why it is as it is and why it exists at all. - Stephen Hawking Quote

Stephen William Hawking was born on 8 January 1942 – 14 March 2018 in Oxford, England. He was an English theoretical physicist, cosmologist, author and Director of Research at the Centre for Theoretical Cosmology within the University of Cambridge

I heard his name in India during 2003 year in my classroom by a teacher who is in mathematics field. Who has explained about his will power, dedication, research knowledge in one field and how he was facing motor neurone disease (also known as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or "ALS").

After listening to that speech I got some information about his disease with the help of Internet – Google search i.e, Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a group of rare neurological diseases that mainly involve the nerve cells (neurons) responsible for controlling voluntary muscle movement. Voluntary muscles produce movements like chewing, walking, and talking. Most people with ALS die from respiratory failure, usually within 3 to 5 years from when the symptoms first appear. However, about 10 percent of people with ALS survive for 10 or more years.

And I have many doubts raised in my brain about how this genius Stephen William Hawking was alive for so many years and it is wonder for many of doctors and medical researchers in the world. I think the main reason for living so many years is nothing but the will power behind in his heart to create and invent the world science that how earth has formed before mankind.

Stephen Hawking is a great personality who died on March 14th aged 76 and Albert Einstein was born on March 14th & died aged 76. And the date of Hawking’s death is 3/14 — is significant because 3.14 are the first three digits of pi, a bedrock of geometry which is significantly celebrated as World Pi Day. So, here is my deep condolence to Stephen William Hawking family members that you are the great people and you must feel proud that he has given you fame and position to stand on one’s legs in one’s life.

The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance; it is the illusion of knowledge. -Stephen Hawking Quote
