WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND. – By MaddaliSwetha

Fall seven times and stand up eight – Japanese Proverb

I missed state rank in 7th class but I got state holder marks. But 7th standard class marks are not considered, only 10th class exam marks are highlighted in Jobs, Interviews and Resumes.

I do remember this big incident when I was joined in intermediate 10+2 education MEC (Math’s, Economics, and Commerce). On the sudden, my dad got transferred from Ramnagar to Vanasthalipuram (Hyderabad) and he joined me in Dilsukhnagar. But I like to join in Bi-PC (Biology, Physics and Chemistry) to become a children’s specialist doctor field. My parents often know that it is too late for admission.

After college I came back to home, locked my room door, broken all things in my room which I do not like. And my mom was very angry at me saying why are you doing this?

I reply to her “I Don’t Like. It’s My Wish These Are My Things Which I Owned it…..Okay”!  You joined me in college that you wish and these are mine and I have a right to break!

My elder sister is too clever. She had a digital mobile in her hand and she started recording all my activities without knowing me. My sister said “okay cool enjoyed! – Swetha has some water and go to sleep its mid - night”. But I was still crying while that night - I missed state rank in 7th class and again I missed the seat in intermediate 10+2 education. My mother slept beside me that mid - Night saying this….

There is a story of two dogs. Both at separate times walk into the same room. One comes out wagging his tail while the other comes out growling. A women watching this goes into the room to see what could possibly make one dog so happy and the other so mad.

To her surprise she finds a room filled with mirrors. The happy dog found a thousand happy dogs looking back at him while the angry dog saw only angry dogs growling back at him.
Story Moral: What you see in the world around you is a reflection of what you are.

Conclusion:

This story doesn't make me any sense of humour. But my mom said “We all are going to give you a wonder video on your birthday occasion gift”. Good Night and kissed on my forehead.

At least my birthday came waiting for my video:

Me: Mom where is that video

Mother: Happy Birthday dear! Ask your dad but before go have a head bath and do pray to god!

Dad: Happy Birthday dear! Ask your brother

Brother: Happy Birthday dear! Ask your sister

Sister: Happy Birthday dear! Call to your grandfather (my mom’s father) and he will guide you where it is hidden.

Me: Grandfa (All my relatives are wishing me from my hometown)

Me: Grandfaaaaa where is the video. Okay! You want video now then you tell me why you have broken things….. It’s MY WISH hmm…then it’s my wish I will not tell you……

Then whole day I started complaining on my grandfather to my parents – You see dad, You see mother, Grandfather is an old and naughty simply saying my wish – did he know how much ego he is presented  in front of me – for a just a video of mine………..Then immediately my sister brought the video and show me.

In that video, I observed my Ego, Crying face, Angry, Broken all things in the room, I am saying it’s my wish, Scolding all, broken heart and …..Immediately I recognized my mistake and said I am sorry to all, cried and hugged all my family members also understood the power of the word “IT’S MY WISH”.

Hence, without knowing sometimes leaders commit mistakes but there will be eye - watchers, who always watching around us all the time. So finally my tag line of this article: “What Goes around Comes Around” After all it is my very special birthday and in my life too.

REMEMBERING CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION IN MY CHILDHOOD. – By MaddaliSwetha

In my school days, Christmas is the best day ever for all students because after Christmas, New Year, Sankranti holidays follow-ups!

In brief,
In my high school 10th class, students were divided into four groups like Red, Yellow, green and pink. I belong to red (Rose Group).

And again these groups were divided into teams:
Basketball game players
Volleyball game players
Kabadi game players
Long jump and short jump game players

I belong to Basketball game as a team player. As I had busy schedule for me every day morning at 5 am and evening at 5pm – tuition for math’s, science, also school 8 am to 3:45pm. Thus, Hyderabad is a very high competition zone for education.

Christmas is the best day. Also there is no tuition; no school but extra homework remains in holidays too.

Finally your question is here: How Christmas is the best day?

December 25th falls in ending of the calendar as celebrated the day called Christmas.

1. My day starts like this,

2. The cloudy sun rises,

3. Hot water bath,

4. Cleanly ironed school uniform,

5. Snack food – milk, bread, and curd rice with onion pieces.

6. Travelling to school on foot gathering classmates on the way,

7. Greeting elders – Merry Christmas and advances happy new year,

8. Teasing watch man – he is my home guard also school watchman,

9. Red (Roses batch) on my shoulders,

10. Wishing ex-students who specially appear on the day only,

11. Wishing my golden principal,

12. Followed by school activities,

13. In middle of the time, Santa Claus (teacher announcement)

Santa Claus who fulfills our dreams:

We knew that Santa Claus is hiding in one room but we need to search for him – right side building or left side building or straight building at my school is in “U” shape.

On the sudden chocolates fallen from top saying ha ha …….

Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way

Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way

Even no one knows but until the school activities are going all students search for Santa Claus.

And remember a happy day to see Santa Claus.

Seriously, my question: Jesus is baby, who was born on that day Right! But where Santa Claus came from and who is he?????

Anyhow history is always remains misery but we are human beings! Advances happy Christmas and it's time to say goodbye to 2014 and all bad memories in our diary.

USING FACEBOOK EVERYDAY - GOOD OR BAD? - By MaddaliSwetha

“Success always hugs you in private. But Failure always slaps you in the public. That’s Life” – Life Lessons

India has the second largest number of people on Facebook in the world, which is the fastest growing, also most popular social networking site. As with every single innovation, internet has its own advantages and disadvantages.

What is Facebook all about?

Facebook, a social networking site, founded by Mark Zuckerberg with his college roommates, has developed from being limited to only the Harvard students to almost every person’s part of life in the world. Thus, the special features of Facebook are it is a common platform for everybody including people of all ages, religions, professions, interests, needs and many more. It binds people across the oceans and surely, you must have felt a sense of self-importance whenever you got a “like” on anything you share on Facebook such as you can chat, play games, advertise, organize, show your interests, have a personal as well as a public or a limited audience talks with other people.

Some of the advantages of using Facebook:

1. To connect with family, friends, work and colleges group:

It is the latest medium of connecting with your dear ones. You can even customize the settings to be “offline” or “online” for some selected ones and still chat with them easily.

2. Information:

Information about the people across the seas as well as the ones near you is also readily available to you. Whatever happens in anybody’s life they tend to update it through their “status”, or photographs. So, you are there and then informed about any such updates and thus Facebook proves to be very informative.

3. Entertainment:

There are many ways in which Facebook can be used as a source of entertainment. First of all, the gossips that you have with your friends are the biggest way that could never leave you to bore.

4. To find a date:

You have the freedom to browse the profiles of other people on Facebook until and unless they have not customized and hidden it from the public. Your access to their profiles can help you find people of your interests and you can easily send a “friend request” to them OR send a private message.

5. Image and video hosting:

You can use Facebook to host your images and videos. You get a direct download link of whatever you upload.

6. Business Promotion:

Facebook is an intelligent place to market your products. The immensely increasing Facebook users can be your future potential customers. Likewise, marketers can create a page for their products where they can have the images, videos and detailed descriptions about the products.

7. To find a job:

Through Facebook you can easily contact the manager or create professional contacts with any number of hiring people. Keep updating your status regularly about your job requirements and someone will surely come up to help you.

8. Video calling:

The tool for video calling of Facebook helps you to have a normal video chat, as the name specifies. Your distant relatives and friends can easily come close to you, as you are in front of each other “live”. Many a times, you can have an interview or meeting with your professional counterparts and thus it helps in establishing relationships.

9. Personal Portfolio:

If you are an artist, then create a page for yourself and then create a portfolio where you can display your art and maintain the collection. A portfolio of all the memorable snaps can also be uploaded so that they are there as a backup.

10. Social protest:

Facebook is such a powerful weapon that any kind of social issue can gain momentum and can create a wave of enthusiasm amongst the people that any other media cannot, in a short time.

Disadvantages of using Facebook:

1. Privacy and personal information:

Whatever safety measures you take to protect your profile, there will always be some hackers looking to enter your profile and do unwanted things. Your personal photographs and videos that you upload can be easily stolen by them. So, it is better not to give too private information on the profile and not share picture’s that are too personal.

2. Personal status:

It is to be noted that anything published publicly just to seek attention may lead to human tendency that people take more interest in others’ lives rather than their own.

3. Fake Facebook profiles:

Sometimes people create fake profiles just for fun or to stalk on other people. There are millions of fake profiles existing there because some strange people create profiles for a non-human entity such as their “pets”. Many people enter into online personal relationships with wrong persons and that could lead to their ruin. People try to pose as someone else and try to fool others.

4. Writing worthless things:

Facebook does not stop anyone from writing anything on places like “walls” of their own or their friends, comments, messages etc. This tends to waste a lot of time because many a times these kinds of things uselessly attract the attention of others and they cannot stop themselves from reading it and actually taking part in the conversation.

5. Time consuming:

Facebook is an addiction. Once you join it, you are likely to spend most of your free time doing something or the other on Facebook. And it does not stop here. Some people even start compromising their family get-togethers and professional meetings for this Facebook.

Hence, you are the user. So, it depends on the way you use it that Facebook proves to be a Friend or an Enemy to you. Use it wisely and safely, so that at least the good purpose of Facebook is not lost.

Conclusion:

1. There are numerous “Apps” present in Facebook. So, be careful with your credentials.

2. In recent marriage survey – some researchers are stating divorce cases are more.

3. Facebook is useless for teenagers (18 years below). Its impact is very high in studies like losing concentration, and sleep.

4. Due to Facebook – now students all losing our inherent talent like reading newspapers and reading books.

5. “Unfriend” is for removing you from friends list but not completely rejecting you.

6. I recently posted on my timeline asking my contacts to suggest more options other than “LIKE”. People really enjoyed my post and suggested alternatives.

7. I strongly feel Mark Zuckerberg should and must add a “Dislike” option in Facebook.

It looks like as if Facebook is trying to stay positive these days. But Zuckerberg is just humoring us: Facebook will never add a Dislike button, regardless of users' demands…. thumbs down" option seems to fall into two camps. For some, "Liking" tragic news seems inappropriate -- and yet Facebook does offer a "Share" option on its own site, while third party sites can opt to use a "Recommend" button instead. Others simply want to express distaste for a page or news update -- this is a move Facebook will never make, however, because it doesn't align with the company's interests.

In fact, Facebook is banded and is not followed in some countries. But in India, its not.

NEVER BE PROUD OF YOUR TALENT – By MaddaliSwetha

It is difficult, but not impossible, to conduct strictly honest business - Mahatma Gandhi

Before jumping into the main topic let’s know about these two little words – Proud & Talent.

1. Talent is the skill that someone developed naturally to do something that is tough.

2. When you are proud, you are feeling pride, or satisfaction with yourself. The word proud can also mean too much of this feeling – sometimes saying someone is proud is the same as saying they're arrogant.

In order to know about these in Talent Management perspective, here’s a small story.

THE ARROGANT SCULPTOR:

Once upon a time, there lived a sculptor who was a master in his art. His idols and statues, carved from wood or stone, looked as if they were real. They were sold all over the country and abroad. He had won many awards for his wonderful works of art. But as he began to earn name, fame & money, he became very arrogant.

One day, a palmist looked at his palm and predicted, “You will die in a few days.”

The sculptor decided to cheat Yama raj, the God of Death, by using his art. He made 6 identical statues which looked so real and so much like the sculptor himself that if he stood among the statues, no one could tell who the real and the live sculptor was!

At last, the day of the sculptor’s death arrived. The sculptor laid the six statues in his bedroom and went to sleep among them.

Now the sculptor became more arrogant than ever. He began to believe that even Yama raj would not be able to identify him from among the statues and take him away.

When the time of the sculptor’s death came, Yama raj came to his house to take him away with him. But he saw not one, but seven sculptors sleeping in the bedroom! It was very difficult for him to identify the real sculptor. Yama raj started thinking of a way to find out which one the real sculptor.

Suddenly, Yama raj had an idea. He smiled and said,” wonderful! O sculptor! You have confused me by making six statues which look exactly like you. But there is a small mistake in these statues.”

These words of Yama raj hurt the sculptor’s ego. At once, he got up and said,” What mistake are you talking about?” “Well, this is it! “exclaimed Yama raj catching the sculptors by his hand.

“As soon as you heard that there is a small mistake in your statues, your ego was hurt. So, you got up and asked me about it. That is your mistake. If you had not made this mistake, it would have been very difficult for me to identify you from among these statues,” added Yama raj. Saying this, Yama raj took hold of the sculptor and left.

Moral of this story – ‘Never be proud of your talent’.

Hence, whenever we are in a difficult situation, we should think with a calm mind and find a way out of it.

Talent Management is defined an organization's attempts to recruit, keep, and train the most gifted and highest quality staff members that they can find, afford and hire. Talent management gives business managers an especially important role to play in recruiting, developing and retaining desirable staff members.

In life, you will come across these different sentences:
1. Give me a chance I will prove myself.
2. First you prove yourself then you have given a chance.

For More information about Lord Yama raj: Read Garuda Purana – One of the most famous books about sin or death.

ARE YOU FIT FOR MULTI-TASKING? – By MaddaliSwetha

Human multi-tasking is the apparent performance by an individual of handling more than one task at the same time. Multi-tasking is defined as doing multiple different things at the same time. For example: Checking E-mails, handling phone calls, messages, Handling work pressure, sending E-mails, etc.

Some of the advantages of Multi-Tasking:

1. You can do more things at a time.

2. It’s easy to multitask if you are doing simple chores like – cooking, watching TV and talking over the phone or checking your email, talking over the phone and listening to music. In such case, switching your mental focus from one task to another is easy and does not require much effort.

3. Multitasking allows you to include different activities in your daily lives breaking the monotony.

4. Moving back and forth between different projects prevents boredom, keeps you inspired and makes you more creative.

5. Multitasking helps you learn how to deal with interruptions and distractions.

6. You develop the ability to cope even when there is chaos around you.

7. Even if the progress is minimal, you will manage to take more than one project or assignment to the next level, closer to your deadline.

Some of the disadvantages of Multi-Tasking:

1. You won't know what to do and spoil everything.

2. Some research says that multitasking actually slows down progress, because the act of switching between two tasks takes a longer time mentally. Actually, when you begin working on a certain project your brain decides how each thing is to be done. So, switching between tasks means closing one and opening another, which in turn means more time taken.

3. When you multitask, you attention is divided between two tasks which means the quality of work suffers. When you focus on one task at a time, the quality of work is definitely much higher.

4. Switching between two tasks: it means you are trying to remind yourself where you left off leading to waste of time. This might result in decrease in overall productivity.

5. Multitasking might keep you busy, but at the end of the day, the question is how much have you accomplished. If it’s not much, your management might actually think that there is a drop in your efficiency level.

6. Your brain, like any other muscle, can get taxed due to multitasking. Switching between tasks and making multiple decisions might tire your brain to an extent that you might end up being a poor or less-effective decision maker.

Know you have come across a clear picture about how multi-tasking work. But it should be noted that you belongs to which side of brain - left brainers or right brainers.

What Is Left Brain - Right Brain Theory?

According to the theory of left-brain or right-brain dominance, each side of the brain controls different types of thinking. Additionally, people are said to prefer one type of thinking over the other. For example, a person who is "left-brained" is often said to be more logical, analytical, and objective, while a person who is "right-brained" is said to be more intuitive, thoughtful, and subjective.

Conclusion:

Test yourself:

 1. Take a paper A4 size white paper and pencil.

2. Starting your full name with right hand size.

3. Immediately shift the pen to left hand size and write your full name.

4. If you able to write and clearly with both hands that means you are fit for multi-tasking work field.

Does not take any commitments that you are fit your multi-tasking without analyzing your brain. Due to, Multitasking can be helpful and for certain areas of your business it can be a useful skill to utilize. What I would stress is that you leave this to people who are genuinely good at it, and even then limit this to relatively mundane, simple tasks that aren’t necessarily time critical. The reason I add these criteria is simple, you’re not really multitasking. What you actually doing is task switching? The brain has a finite amount of concentration and information it can process, so when you switch between tasks, you’re actually wasting time in the process of switching.
