Dear reader,
Before reading this article I like to give a small notification that now on words 500 rupees and 1000 rupees notes are banded in India by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In a televised address on 8 November 2016 by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that banknotes of 500 and 1000 would cease to be legal tender from midnight. Automatic teller machines at some places were closed on 9 and 10 November. Government organizations have brought out new notes. The Government of India had accepted the proposal of RBI in bringing out 2000 banknotes and a new version of the 500. The old notes are being removed from circulation.

Here is my journey trip by Train and car:

Madurai - Madurai Meenakshi Temple

Rameswaram - Pamban Bridge

Kanyakumari (Nagercoil)

Madurai (City in Tamil Nadu)

Came home (Hyderabad)

My Observations list:

1. Visiting Tamilnadu tour is my third time. Idly is my favorite food in Tamilnadu which is made with different varieties.

2. Trichy or Tiruchi and Tiruchirappalli town railways stations look alike. Also according to the National Urban Sanitation Policy, Tiruchirappalli was listed as the third-cleanest city in India in 2016.

3. Compared to Hyderabad and in Tamilnadu , the state is giving good importance to swatch bharath and keep  the cities  clean.  I have seen that  they have kept dustbin’s  at many places  to keep  city  clean and  at villages too. But where in Hyderabad I have hardly seen proper dustbins.

4. To reach Kanyakumari place the railway stop was only to Nagercoil. Again from there one has to travel to Kanyakumari.  Nagercoil railway station is most dangerous to cross like it is the end to end distance. Also Nagercoil is a land of great traditional and cultural significance.

5. Kanyakumari is very beautiful place. It is also known as Kanniyakumari, formerly known as Cape Comorin, is a town in Kanyakumari District in the state of Tamil Nadu in India. The name comes from the Devi Kanya Kumari Temple in the region. It is the southernmost tip of peninsular India. Where you can see sunrise and sun set. It was also an area of great trade and commerce.

6. Rameswaram - Pamban Bridge is very most dangerous place where bus and train travel in middle of the ocean. Train travel for 10 mins to reach land. Also Pamban Bridge is a railway bridge which connects the town of Rameswaram. The bridge is located in the world's second most corrosive environment after Florida. (Florida is a state located in the southeastern region of the United States.)

7.  In Tamilnadu, there is no internet available in railways stations zones.

8.  In Tamilnadu people can speak - Telugu, Hindi, English, Tamil and Malayalam too.

9. Karur is the district located "HEART" of Tamil Nadu. Even Karur Vysya Bank commonly called KVB and Lakshmi Vilas Bank commonly called LVB have their headquarters (H.Q) in Karur. Karur is a major home textile centre and has five major product groups — bed linens, kitchen linens, toilet linens, table linens and wall hangings.

10. Industries in Dindigul include lock making, leather, textile spinning, administrative services, agricultural trading, banking, agricultural machinery and educational services.

READ THIS BOOK: WINGS OF FIRE - AN AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF ABDUL KALAM

About This Book:

Every common man who by his sheer grit and hard work achieves success should share his story with the rest for they may find inspiration and strength to go on, in his story. The 'Wings of Fire' is one such autobiography by visionary scientist Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, who from very humble beginnings rose to be the President of India. The book is full of insights, personal moments and life experiences of Dr. Kalam. It gives us an understanding on his journey of success.

Dr. Kalam by narrating his life journey evokes the reader to identify with one’s inner fire and potential, for he was of the firm belief that each one of us was born with the strength and potential to make a tangible change in the world. How he inspired himself to achieve dreams and how he went about accomplishing so much is what the book captures nicely.

The book recollects many anecdotes and stories from childhood, his time at school and college. The time spent at the Langley Research Center, NASA and Wallops Flight Facility gets a lot of attention.

Personal tragedies have not been left out. The time when he lost his father and how he felt when conferred with many awards like the Padma Bhushan have been written in much detail.

The second half of the book deals with Dr Kalam, the scientist who made a significant contribution in developing the countries guided missile program, a pioneering effort for the security of the nation. It's not with reason that he was nicknamed as the 'Missile Man of India'. The book also contains 24 photographs at various stages of his life.

Authored by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam and Mr. Arun Tiwari, the 180 page book 'The Wings of Fire' was first published in the year 2000. Mr Tiwari is a well-known missile scientist who has worked with Dr. Kalam. Having become a bestseller, the book has even been translated into thirteen languages, which includes Chinese and French.

About the Author:

Mr. Arun Tiwari, a scientist, was a colleague of Dr Kalam.

My observations:
1) I recommend this book to:
a. Engineers to re-kindle their passion in technology
b. Project Managers to learn the perfect art of project management
c. Managers to learn the art of picking up a team and achieving goals, and above all
d. to aspiring leaders on building up their character, ambition and vision for their lives and lead their teams.

2) Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam is a comic reader. And he plays Venna also Carnatic classical music Lover.
*Carnatic music is a system of music commonly associated with the southern India including the modern states Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu, but also practiced in Sri Lanka.

3) In page No: 131 – He mentioned TN Seshan is the one person who used to call him with full name which contains of  31 Letters and five words - Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam

4) The book is also rich source for management lessons like delegation, empowering the subordinates, multi tasking etc. Dr Kalam's endeavours in the face of adversity propels the youth to dream big and work hard. He makes us believe through this autobiography that the talent in India is second to none by giving real examples where his team achieved things which were beyond comprehension for our country 25 years back.

5) Everything about missiles, rockets. I heard a lot about Abdul Kalam. I was more interested into his personal life and personal experiences. But 90% of this book explained only about missiles success and failure. Easy to read but there is no much information is given about author in this book.

6) After reading this book I went to Rameswaram and seen his house and awards. You can read my  journey trip in my next article.

Thank You for reading!

IT’S ALL ABOUT YOGA NO….NO IT’S YOUR HEALTH

“Before giving, the mind of the giver is happy; while giving the mind of a giver is made peaceful; and having given, the mind of the giver is uplifted.” – Buddha

Yoga is a physical, mental, and spiritual practice or discipline which originated in ancient India. There is a broad variety of Yoga schools, practices, and goals in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. The origins of yoga have been speculated to date back to pre-Vedic Indian traditions; it is mentioned in the Rigveda. But in modern days, yoga has become special and it has other beginning called International Day of Yoga.

International Day of Yoga commonly referred to as Yoga Day, is celebrated annually on June 21. The idea of an International Day of Yoga was first proposed by Narendra Modi for better health and better living hood.

Now a days, we have became busy, busy, busy day by day such using technology, bad food timings, tensions etc, as lead to busy stressful life. In this busy life, small changes make big changes in one’s life that call a day to raise our stress and forget our good healthy living. So, this international day of yoga helps us to concentrate on our health.

Don’t think that this day is called yoga day. It is also called health day, Happy International yoga day and happy health day too. Thank You.

READ THIS BOOK: LEARNING TO SAY ‘NO’ WHEN YOU USUALLY SAY ‘YES’ – MARITZA MANRESA

This special edition of ‘Learning to Say No When You Usually Say Yes’ published by Jaico books, Mumbai which is available in India and Nepal. This book was written by Maritza Manresa. I read this book in May 2016.

Image result for Learning to Say No When You Usually Say Yes

About this Book:
Everything You Need to Know Explained Simply, Knowing when to say "No" when you usually say "Yes" is one of the most fundamentally important things you can do for yourself and for your relationships. The urge to say yes, to please everyone around you, can be overwhelming. It can be rooted in your desire to maintain your self-image, the product of chronically low self-esteem. It may even be the result of situations in which you feel you will gain from constantly saying yes. This book will walk you through the process of recognizing your true desires and tapping into your inner self so you can tell others how you truly feel. From understanding what it is you want to get from other people to accepting that you do not need their validation, you will learn how to set your priorities and therefore know when it is okay to say yes.

My favourite Page in this book: (Page – 22, Chapter no – 2)
9. Why am I Really being asked?
This is a good question to ask yourself when you have been asked to do something. Is the person doing the asking targeting you because he/she knows that you usually say yes to all requests? Or, are you being asked because you really are the most qualified person to do it? If you know you are being asked because you usually say Yes, then at that moment you should put a stop to the vicious cycle and respond with a firm No. However, if you are being asked for any reason other than because you are a Yes person, the really evaluate the request, take in consideration the pros and cons of taking on the task, and make a decision that you will not regret later.

My Feedback:

Got quite an insight about when and how to say No or Yes. Most of the examples are from the western part of the world, would be more easy to relate if there were examples in context to the Indian culture or tradition. And also this book mainly useful for business decisions where to say yes and where to say no.

WHAT IS THE USE OF WRITING BLOG?

The art of writing is the art of discovering what you believe – Gustave Flaubert

A blog is defined as a regularly updated website or web page, typically one run by an individual or small group that is written in an informal or conversational style. In other words, a blog is meant for a website containing a writer's or group of writers' own experiences, observations, opinions, etc., and often having images and links to other websites.

Here are the uses of writing blog:

1. To excel as a good Writer:
The only way to become a good writer is to write – pages and pages, day after day. Of course, that’s exactly what an active blogger spends his or her time doing. The more you blog, the more you write – and the better writer you become.

2. To become a Published Author:
The publishing business isn’t what it used to be and publishers are less likely than ever before to take a chance on an unknown author. They would much rather give a contract to an author with a built-in audience of readers – and that’s where having a blog comes in. So keeping a blog isn’t just a good way to become a better writer, it may be your fastest path to becoming a published writer.

3. Feedback or viewer points;
An author has to wait months between finishing his/her book and reading the reviews, but bloggers get to read their readers’ comments the same day they click ‘publish’. This makes blogging a great way to get feedback on an idea that you want to develop further. Having an outside perspective and a little bit of constructive criticism is invaluable. Such as comments, Author view of point, how editors expect from blog etc.

4. Learn new things everyday:
Bloggers spend most of their time sharing their ideas and insights with their readers. But if you listen, you’ll find that your readers share a lot with you too. For instance: Studying about what another bloggers write – the way of writing style which attracts viewers. As a blogger, achieving this type of insight is a natural byproduct of your day-to-day routine.

5. Gain Influence or trustworthy:
What’s the best way to change the world? You could become a politican, activist, or volunteer. Or you could become a blogger. A successful blogger gains a wide audience of people who trust and respect them.

6. Build a Network:
First of all, valuable and interesting blog posts attract readers who will then comment on your site and send you personal messages through your contact page. Many of your readers will be asking for help, but others will be looking to help you. A blog is also a good platform for reaching out to others. Many of the first posts on Income Diary were interviews with experts in the ‘make money online’ community. With every interview, Michael gained a personal relationship with an influential person. Such as, blogs available in various forms like BlogSpot, word press, LinkedIn, Quora etc.

7. Stay stable or Knowledgeable in your Field:
If you’re looking for an incentive to keep up to date on all of the latest information on a certain subject, starting a blog is a great start. Your weekly quest to put up new content will lead you to always be searching for new information and sharing it with your readers. Also you will become leader in international or global competition.

8. Getting job offers:

Through blogging you will get job offers related to your field. Blogging is an international competition where viewers attract more.
