Job Description:
It is
defined as a broad, general, and written statement of a specific job, based on
the findings of a job analysis. It generally includes duties, purpose,
responsibilities, scope, and working conditions of a job along with the job's
title, and the name or designation of the person to whom the employee reports.
Job description usually forms the basis of job specification.
Job Specification:
It is defines
the knowledge, skills and abilities that are required to perform a job in an
organization. Job specification covers aspects like education, work-experience,
managerial experience etc which can help accomplish the goals related to the
job. Job specification helps in the recruitment & selection process,
evaluating the performance of employees and in their appraisal & promotion.
Job specification, along with job description, is actually derived from job
analysis. Collectively, job specification and job description help in giving a
overview of the job in terms of its title, position, roles, responsibilities,
education, experience, workplace etc.
Soft leadership:
It is defined as the process of setting
goals; influencing people through persuasion; building strong teams;
negotiating them with a win-win attitude; respecting their failures; hand holding them; motivating them constantly; aligning their energies and
efforts; recognizing and appreciating their contribution in accomplishing organizational
goals and objectives with an emphasis on soft skills. It is based on the right
mindset, skill set, and toolset.
Soft Skills:
These
are the skills, abilities and traits related to one’s personality, attitude,
and behavior.
Skill:
It is the ability to
carry out a task with determined results often within a given amount of time,
energy, or both. Skills can often be divided into domain-general and
domain-specific skills.
Resume:
Formal presentation of
a job applicant's education, skills, and work experience.
Interview:
The
word interview comes from Latin and middle French words meaning to “see
between” or “see each other”.
Psychometric tests:
It is
a standard and scientific method used to measure individuals' mental
capabilities and behavioral style.
Motivation:
Motivation
is an important factor which encourages persons to give their best performance
and help in reaching enterprise goals.

To
express the most important facts or ideas about something or someone in a short
and clear form
Human Resource:
The
department of a business or organization that deals with the hiring,
administration, and training of staff.

It can be explained as
way of behavior, way of conduct, way of interaction with people, ethical moral
values.

It is an occupation or
trade and the purchase and sale of products or services to make a profit.
Business Process Outsourcing (BPO):
It is
a subset of outsourcing that involves contracting the operations and
responsibilities for a particular business process to a third-party service
provider.
Organizational culture:
It is
encompasses values and behaviors that contribute to the unique social and
psychological environment of a business.
Training:
An educational transfer
of information re a particular skill.
Salary:
The payment of an
employee by the employer for their services which may be measured in reference
to a period of time.

A
negotiation between the applicant and employer to determine a salary.
