Food is an important part of a balanced diet. – Fran Lebowitz
Hai! Welcome to my blog – Maddali Swetha Blog. Today morning while cooking food – I just remembered this situation – What situation is it? that if you have to read this article then only you will understand the word “Morning Diet”?
I will talk about morning diet in
story form. Okay!
The story part begins like this….
When I was studying graduation in
the first year, I joined in tuition for revision in the subjects.
In my class room, one day - one boy
(Ravi) who sat in the backbench said to the teacher – “Sir, please avoid this one-day
class and give us holiday”.
{Note: front benches are reserved
for girls and back benches are reserved for boys.}
- Sir asked Ravi to tell the reason - Why to ban the class?
- Ravi said to sir - if I say, girls will start laughing at me.
- Sir said to Ravi - no problem girls will not laugh.
Now, story begins it’s very interesting
- don’t skip the lines:
Every day Ravi’s mother cooks south
Indian dishes in the morning (Breakfast)and serves it to Ravi.
One day Ravi got angry and scolded
his mother badly saying – every morning, you keep me – Idly, Dosa, Rice
Upma, Wheat Upma, Curd Rice, Pulihora, Sambar, Milk and Tomato Soup. I
want varieties of food.
From the next day onwards, she
changed morning diet menu and started making Ragi Idly, Tomato Upma, Masala
Dosa, Poori, Mysore Bonda, Vada, Semiya Upma, Pappu Pongali, Coconut Sambar,
Chapati, Veg Salad, Milk, Curd and Rice Varieties also Millets.
Once again Ravi got angry and
said I want varieties of food.
Immediately, she got angry and gave
money to Ravi and said – Go out and eat!
Ravi went out and visited some restaurants
in Hyderabad and they also provides same food in the morning.
So, he decided to go to a 5-star restaurant
and took his neighbour Siva who speaks fluent English and they went to a 5- star
restaurant.
In the restaurant, Siva called a
waiter and said we want varieties like cheese varieties, pizza, hamburger, etc.
{Note: Fast food restaurants came recently in Hyderabad. On those days
there were no fast-food restaurants.}
The waiter called the manager. Manager
said sir the items which you have listed are evening food. Ravi said I will double
the bill amount and pay you.
Manager said Ravi – you are a
student, see there is a student sitting in the next table and having his morning
diet, he is handsome, tall with pink lips and you are thin, tanned face and weak.
Immediately, Ravi and Siva left the restaurant and went home.
Ravi came home and said to his
mother – mother make me fat food; I have to become fat and handsome in a few
days. His mother was angry as he was not accepting her morning diet which was
cooked. So, she said - Go out and eat.
After a few weeks Ravi gained weight,
fat, handsome, pink lips and went to the same restaurant and called the manager
to provide the dishes that he likes to eat.
The manager said so you are the
guy who came here a few weeks back. But sir, those are evening foods – look here
sir, there is an old man sitting beside your table, he is regularly visiting
our restaurant. He is thin, handsome, tall and a perfectly healthy person. He eats
a morning diet in our restaurant. Again, Ravi left the restaurant.
The next day, he realized what
mistake he made and said sorry to her mother and also started eating food which
his mother cooked.
And her mother was very happy, making
calls to all her relatives and saying “My son became a good person and
eating healthy food every day”. This is the happy ending story.
My conclusion:
Eat healthy food, live healthy.
Nowadays fast-food centres have started
in Hyderabad and people are forgetting golden food which was said by our ancestors
who prepared a morning diet.
Morning diet is breakfast which is
the morning first meal and a breaking the fasting period of the previous night.
There is one slogan called - You should eat like a king in the morning, eat like a prince at midday, and eat light food at night.
Food is really and truly the most
effective medicine. – Joel Fuhrman
