MOONSTONE RING/GEMS - IN HINDU MYTHOLOGY

{EFFECTS OF WEARING A MOONSTONE}

The changeable beauty of the moon is found in the stone named for it, moonstone. In India, moonstone is called chandrakant, meaning "beloved by the moon." (From the Sanskrit chandra, "moon" and kanta, "beloved") Moonstone, in Hindu mythology, is believed to have formed from moonlight.

A primary function of moonstone is to help us achieve emotional balance.Moonstone can help us to come free of any self-destructive cycle or pattern regarding emotions, easing us into greater receptivity.

Wearing and/or playing with moonstone regularly can help us to fine-tune and become more aware of our emotions before they freeze into negative patterns. Wear Moonstone for childbirth, fertility, growth, and regulating menstrual cycle. Moonstone represents the great Mother Goddess. Her strength lies in her gentleness, and her ability to experience, process, and neutralize her feelings.

In the Eastern cultures, moonstone has a strong connection with love, the most powerful and positive emotion. It's believed that wearing or carrying a moonstone will help to bring a new love into your life. It's also believed that if lovers hold moonstone over their hearts after a quarrel, then exchange the pieces with each other, their love and their relationship will continue.

In meditating for emotional balance, you may find it helpful to focus on deep breathing. The more deeply one breathes, the more one feels. Moonstone helps us to allow our emotions to express who we are, in the fullness of being. Moonstone will help achieve a balance between heart and mind without losing the gentleness and caring needed, yet keep it in check to allow you to function effectively.

Moonstone fosters happiness, gracefulness, good fortune, hope, and spiritual insight, and easy childbirth, safe travel on water, new beginnings and adjusting to changes, abundance and ancient wisdom and especially for water signs - Motherly love, support, and encouragement.
